GCI – Telecom Websites


GCI is one of Alaska’s largest telecom companies. They offer internet, mobile, and television for consumers, businesses and small businesses and service the entire state of Alaska.

As a hybrid Senior Digital Designer and Senior Digital Producer, I worked with a copywriter and collaborated with our UX designer to map out the whole discovery phase for all three of the GCI websites; Consumer, Business and Small Business.

I acted as a designer for small business and parts of residential and I produced all three and worked directly with the client and developers. I designed all the spec documents for developers and creative teams, optimized all assets for web as well as design images for mobile and tablet. I worked with the tech teams on the client side to make the site SEO friendly. I designed, authored and created landing and offer pages within Microsoft Sitecore which is GCI’s enterprise level CMS (Content Management System).

GCI Fandom TV Spots

I was the creative producer for this project and worked with our art director and ACD copywriter from conception to completion. These tv spots aired locally in Anchorage, Alaska and also were published and ran online as well.

We tapped into the idea of football fandom for these spots. They all tie together. Having football plays drawn out on screen visually to tie transitions together and weaving in football nomenclature throughout these spots. The idea was to run during football season and connect with the fans and tie in GCI’s new unlimited pricing for unlimited streaming for fans to sign-up for so they don’t miss a game. These spots were a success.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado Reveal & Chevy Truck Centennial Event in Texas

This is some work I did freelancing at Jack Morton for the Chevy. I produced video content for the Big Hoss TV (Biggest HD TV in the world) at Texas Motor speedway for the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Reveal & 2017 Chevy Bi-Centennial Truck event. I created and ran the Big Hoss TV playlist for duration of Chevy event and worked with video engineers to maintain TV and audio sync to a tight event timeline.

Super Space Creative Branding

This was a branding project for my freelance company Super Space Creative. I designed the logo and created gold foiled business cards. I also designed a space patch iteration and had it made into patches below that I affixed to a space jacket hoodie.


Marvel Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2 Ford Partnership

This was an awesome and fun project to be apart of. It was an integration between Marvel and Ford. We had the 2018 EcoSport featured in this spot and digital work. We also held a digital giveaway on Marvels webpage where you could win a chance to be illustrated by a Marvel illustrator, win a 2018 Ford EcoSport or a hometown screening of Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2, in your hometown.



 

2017 What is the best VR Headset?

This is an Editorial I did research for and wrote for my site GameGravy.com

VR has come a long way but its still in its infancy of being adopted by mainstream consumers. Believe it or not though VR is hitting hard and is finally released with tons of support and not many people know what’s out there and what these companies have to offer or how they compare, hence me writing this article. In the feature picture of this editorial you can see me wearing the PSVR trying the exploding demo at E3 last year

2017 Ford Raptor: The Devil is in the Details

Since rally racing and off-road racing is a big interest of mine, this was a treat to work on. This was a digital video I produced that started with a live shoot, capturing plates and physics examples. Our production partner Speciality Field shot live action with Ford Raptors in the Borrego, California desert. Our other partner Flavor, in Santa Monica did all the CG and animation work. Denis Leary did the voice over work for this spot.

 

Ford Pocket Mustang

Pocket Mustang was a digital initiative that came to us from Ford Shanghai, it was a blast to work with our China office and creatives on this project. The online site experience was created for mobile users and was planned at the start to be globalized and localized for a variety of companies. The host of this digital video experience is our Ford Racer Vaughn Gittin Jr. The premise is that he’s your teacher and will show you the moves you need to drift.

You’re the driver. Your phone is a Mustang, place it on the table, do racing maneuvers with it and as your phone gathers all the sensor data and gyroscope stats, the site compiles and slices together a real Mustang drifting video based on the moves you did.

 

Foreigner – Rock Then Roll 4 UR School

This was a fun and humbling project to be apart of. This was a digital video, concert, live event production. It was about giving back to the community. This unique and exciting event between Ford Drive 4UR School and the rock band Foreigner invites high-school choirs to enter for a chance to perform on stage with Foreigner during one of their concerts. Additionally, this winning choir will have a Drive 4UR School event at their school with members of the band doing a meet and greet and signing autographs. The money made during the Ford test drives will go directly to help fund their school choir at Bristow High School, in Bristow, Oklahoma.

 

LAAS Andrew WK Ford Fiesta

This project for promoting the Ford Fiesta at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We had singer/songwriter Andrew WK party through the highlights and features of the 2015 Ford Fiesta. We also had Lewis Hilstener from Unbox Therapy, Unbox the Ford Fusion.
